Ironically, the rich work longer and harder than anyone else unlike in previous generations of the wealthy class. As a result, we are at record levels of wealth disparity.

Quantity of hours worked used to be a mark of the poor and is now inverted to the rich. The labour market has been restructured restricting the poor from access to more labour hours.

indeed. but it's the the hours that are the mark of labour. the market will be restructured yet again because of this pandemic. we shall all be freelancers.
