People who talk as if they're pro human extinction are creepy af. I can't tell whether the fact that it's mostly performative makes it more or less creepy.

Yet, due primarily to human overpopulation and excessive consumption, other species, some we haven’t even identified, are winking out at the rate of five per day. Are we worth more then they are? Says who?

Independently of whether I think this is a good argument (it's not), what path exactly are you imagining that leads to human extinction and *doesn't* lead to most of the other currently alive species also going extinct?

So we should just keep breeding, consuming and wiping out other species with zero concern for the damage we're causing? I don't advocate for human extinction, but for massive reduction in breeding and consumption. We kill the earth, we kill ourselves.

If you don't advocate for human extinction why are you shouting at me for saying that human extinction is bad?

C) I think we need to reduce our footprint and give 50% of the planet back to everything else. You should add "Half Earth" by EO Wilson to the list of books you say you intend to read.
