Nothing is open like usual. I'm not on the ground in Toronto, I'm in Nova Scotia, where the situation is much better (1-7 new cases a day right now). You can go to the grocery store or pharmacy once a week, one person per family. Churches, schools, public places closed...

Yes, and we have had pretty good success. Nova Scotia has an independent mindset and an independent media, and I tweeted more than 10000 times (>10MM impressions) mainly about the coronavirus since Jan 25th, so we had a bit of a head start here & also in the tech community in SV

The border is blocked in many ways -- at the US / Canada border, and then interprovince travel is blocked also, with an especially tight cordon around Quebec.
