What use are the millions of books and billions of websites to a poor old farmer in a village with no rain whose joint family had split off to work in cities a decade ago and are now walking hundreds of miles homewards with fear, hunger and pain? Useless knowledge, all of it.

Knowledge is not only power. Not all that is useful is knowledge. Knowledge can be pleasure, enlightenment, peace, understanding.

Grief. That's the metric. ? How much grief have we answered with our knowledge - that's the "power" of that knowledge - it depends not only on WHAT it consists of, but HOW it is arranged/structured/presented, and what ACTIONS it inspires and guides.
