Did you know that in ant colonies like 90% of the work is done by like 2% (or something absurd) of the ants? The rest are pretty much just in reserve / lazy. Makes you think. I wonder if they can sort of collectively direct electrodynamic fields.

This is amazingly true but actually still underestimates it. During periods of punctuated equilibrium it's much more severe. You get people who change the universe -- maybe there are ants like this, too.
