Nothing personal, but this is an extreme generalization of the type that was used to justify tinkering with coronavirus strains. "Humans have been performing genetic engineering for thousands of years" doesn't make the pandemic go away.

I definitely think we need to do whatever it takes to make the pandemic go away. Including geoengineering, if it makes sense. Including GMO food that has, say, an antiviral such as artemisin annua (if it works) in it.
