Books on market history are, for some reason, a particularly smart genre of writing. I have a detailed daily chart of the Dow from 1880 to 2006 or whenever I got it... that Richard Russell used to sell. A useful appendix to Napier. I caught the top on Halloween 2007 with it.

nice! yeah i went for an interview on jane st in july 2007 & in the cab there was a show on where they were talking about a financial crisis and I just thought “it’s happening” when i interviewed i pointed out that the assumption of independence behind black-scholes doesn’t work
