When arguing hot button issues. Don't assume good faith arguments. Plenty of people don't realize that they're just repeating someone else's talking points and not actual facts on the issue.

Don't assume bad faith either! I always engage honestly and sincerely at least 4 times.

I don't assume bad faith. I just don't assume their points. But typically I find a deep construction of lies when you give someone an inch of 'benefit of the doubt'. Watch Bannon, he's good at manipulating that 'little ground'.

I guess that's my brand -- stay authentic, even engaging with a system that is a web of lies! I have found the liar is more honest than the lie, if you can actually reach them. Malice is more often than not not the motivating factor -- it is usually extreme context dependence.

‘context dependence’ hmm. I don’t think it’s malice either but my investigation finds it’s a rejection of specific facts. Or a conclusion outside the scope of someone’s understanding. We are very similar in engaging like this. Most people aren’t like this you know? We are rare.

Love this. As above, so below. Take the debate to the galactic level!.. (if you haven’t heard of the 7 hermetic laws, I think you could like them, they have an interesting take on Polarization).

Ok so basic link below to give an overview! Published in 1908 by mystery author, but some of the ideas seem to fit with modern science (tho I'm a filmmaker not a scientist tbf). Def written in old fashioned "mystic" style but I think some interesting ideashttp://www.kybalion.org/kybalion.php?chapter=II …

Skip the initial mumbo jumbo if u prefer and from the 2nd Rule onwards, it gets interesting for me. Polarisation is no.4. "Everything is dual. All truths are half-truths"...
