The problem here is very few people will understand this is a neutral stand. What this does is only encourage some MAGA & facist folks into carrying arms into Public spaces & threaten healthcare workers. Elon maybe smart but, he definitely is doing this for personal benefits.

Listen, we have both been working on this full on. 16-18 hour days, 2000+ hours this year. Since Jan 26th in my case We have encountered extreme censorship, and complete ineptitude, & bad faith actions, and credibility attacks. We have donated directly, put our reps on the line!

I do understand folks are working on this, but a public figure putting out a statement which directly affects front line workers is never a right thing Don't know him personally but I do know various HC workers who are indirectly affected by

The problem is that this is a direct result of the irresponsibility of the censorship, of the uniform media, of the government, of the police state. The clumsy, nationwide shut down would kill even more people via hunger and civil war, nation wide. Only option is freedom.

We don't have a nation wide shutdown. It's not China, most states are open already, CA & WA are lifting restrictions soon. Non essentials are closed temporarily, not permanently. Maybe

No, that's not it. If it were, he would not have said the stock was too high. Seriously, he has been delivering ventilators and masks across the country and doing vaccine development. I was near certain civil war would erupt when famine began (in weeks!); Elon bought us time

I do see him delivering & helping back the community. The only reason CA and Washington is holding off from opening up completely is because we don't have enough tests to test every individual.

CA needs to be leading the way internationally to show how to open up. We could have done this in just a few weeks, but then Florida and Georgia and Sweden are messing everything up. Why is this bad? The authoritarian narrative that China did it right. Actually misinfo from them
