That's the segmented sleep stuff. OTOH, Walker thinks biphasic sleep is natural, but means one main sleep and one nap in the afternoon: https://delanceyplace.com/view-archives.php?p=3524 …. Panda studies circadian in humans, but also biologically in general, and directly disagrees:
