as if Trump would let anyone cover-their-ass by citing "the White House plan" other than himself:https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/22/trump-says-he-totally-disagrees-with-georgia-gov-kemps-decision-to-reopen-businesses-in-the-middle-of-coronavirus-pandemic.html …

I don't care about anyone covering their ass or not. I just care that they're following a good plan, which, in this case, they are.

And, as always, I ignore everything that Trump says, for better or worse.

though I have concern Georgia isn't out of the woods yet, I expect people/businesses to mostly protect themselves, whatever fed/state poohbah guidance is. so I'm ok w/ Kemp/etc fiddling w/ their policy knobs/dials, in sync w/ their local politics, generating informative variety

My other guess is that they will have low, low business volume. Probably better than now, but probably way off pre-pandemic levels. I'm not even gonna try to guess how many of them will be able to stay in business for very long.

Eddie in a Hazmat Suit @random_eddieReplying to @CREID2852 @politicalmathI just checked the numbers myself, and as enthusiastic as I am for a well-crafted reopening plan, I'm (reluctantly) not convinced that the GA numbers have fallen far enough, persistently enough, for long enough, to confidently start the first phase of reopening.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

There is no possible way Georgia is ok.

I think it's *possible* - more likely than not, even. I'm just not as confident about it as I'd like to be.

i am very used to just calling it when something is definitely true or definitely not true and I very rarely get it wrong.
