as we lose the ability to trust our governments, our media, and our experts, how do we regain the ability to trust each other? can well designed software help? this may be the crucial piece to the puzzle. people need to develop a new way of knowing.

If you ask someone in small-town Indiana if "we trust each other" they'll say yes. They don't consider experts that sneer at them to be part of "we". I'd love a software fix but I don't see it. Experts being more honest and less judgmental would be the first step.
