i wish, ballet muscle is very pretty and aesthetically pleasant on top of being well necessary to dance ballet you can't do anything more complicated than a demi plié without muscle strength

Only ballerina I've seen with visible muscle is Misty Copeland and the consensus is she's a freak of nature. Not that I'm big into ballet tho. One of those vestigial artforms that is overshadowed by classism. The fascination in it by women is very interesting tho.

Misty is not a freak of nature. The reason you haven’t seen dancers with musculature like Misty’s is bc those dancers never make it to top classical companies let alone gain renown for being principal ballerinas. There is much greater body diversity in contemporary companies.

I mean it like she's a super athlete, she's DEFINITELY a freak or whatever less negative term you want to use. Whatever you want to call it, those hyperextending knees are not normal.pic.twitter.com/m3EetbZzmI

I am telling you, stfu.
you simply have no idea how crushing this word is, or the pervasiveness of this idea in society.
until you intentionally subject yourself to this via drag, you have no rights to call a muscular woman a freak. because you have not felt the pain.

That's an unreasonable position to hold and you know it.
