i wish, ballet muscle is very pretty and aesthetically pleasant on top of being well necessary to dance ballet you can't do anything more complicated than a demi plié without muscle strength

Only ballerina I've seen with visible muscle is Misty Copeland and the consensus is she's a freak of nature. Not that I'm big into ballet tho. One of those vestigial artforms that is overshadowed by classism. The fascination in it by women is very interesting tho.

LOL that's true the frustration is mostly because looking easy makes people assume it's easy *in a bad way* and dismiss it as frivolous and silly, not as an art that takes years of dedication
