it's true, Fox pushed misinformation. So did Bloomberg! People *everywhere* -- even scientists -- were aggressively ignorant about this. Twitter censored and sandboxed me & friends in Feb (I started reporting on coronavirus Jan 23rd) and people even censored censorship evidence!https://twitter.com/Amy_Siskind/status/1246163438524665860 …

false equivalency is troubling. Fox, due to politics, institutionalized misinformation and propagated the presidents wholly inaccurate narrative. Bloomberg was ignorant. It’s not the same. And Fox is still doing it, hours on end.

@loudobbs with@GordonGChang in February -- at the same time you had hosts@Bloomberg literally saying "what are we going to do, we have to keep people going to work and flying business or the economy tanks!"2 replies 2 retweets 1 like -

"what are we going to do, we have to keep people going to work and flying business or the economy tanks!" What do you think the answer to this question is or don't you think it's a valid question?

The bleedin' obvious answer is that delay and weak responses made the situation, economic and otherwise, much worse than it needed to be.

How is that an answer? The question is still valid. What should we do. I don't see solutions being offered.

That's a different question. Look at what e.g. South Korea has done. They'll be able to ease things off somewhat until a vaccine appears. We should do similar. This isn't that complicated, but neither is it easy.

It's the same question. How long do you think the current level of economic activity can continue before people starve?

well obviously that depends on if we work to solve the starvation problem. We should!!!!

At the moment you still have people going to work in food production and distribution and essential services. They will not go to work once the currency they're currently being paid in is worthless

Not going to happen, Gideon. That would be equivalent to intentionally letting our society collapse. Even Trump wouldn't do that. Possibly you've read too much libertarian fiction.
