well, it’s whatever works. ideally some separation, but if you have like a wool scarf it will have enough bulk. you still need to clean it. if you come up with a practical design please share it online on as many platforms as you can! LA is under orders to make em and use em

Will do. Obviously I wouldn't be able to say much about efficacy in any rigorous way, but what I'm thinking right now involves a simple cover-all, like a bandana, underneath a cotton or surgical face mask.

80% of the benefit is you can’t touch your face, and if you have layers you’ll have decent protection against droplets if you wash it. The absolute level of viral load has an impact, and there’s a social impact that’s positive as well. plus, fun project at home.
