Maybe I read the wrong books, but I don‘t have any sense of the 1918 influenza pandemic as having left a strong imprint on the fiction of the era. Perhaps it just blurs into the horrors of WW I? Can anyone give examples of novels where the “Spanish flu” is central, or prominent?
