Saw a lot of tweets not too long ago questioning the value of the technological advances we've made as a society this past decade or so — now that we're living with a pandemic, try to imagine your life without these "unimportant" tech advances.

Kinda? But if you're going to lump all technological advancement together, they also came with tech advances that generally made us much better at not dying of easily preventable sicknesses. It's not like we've ever been short of widespread pandemics.
