Hitler pre 1918. Fascinatingly totally different than the raging maniac you know.

What context?! Everyone is fucking aware Germany was butthurt over WWI. Their economy sucked, people lacked jobs, and they looked for something to blame. Hitler connected their hurt and anger to literally murdering a people. The context is super clear. He was a sociopath.

I am advocating a world system that takes that anger and instead grounds it through acts of creation, instead of destruction, dismissal, death. The "hard cut off" of the nazi Swastika is a terrible corruption of a gentle universal spiritual symbol.

hey, I am sorry that I pissed you off, and I appreciate that you're taking the other side of the argument (the easier side -- obviously more people are on the side of no-hitler, hitler extremely exclusively bad) but I actually really appreciate your passion; rage against world

I am, mainly, taking this position to open space discussion about how we punish and pathologize and oversimplify and mistake action for intention, fate for destiny. otoh, I guess if everyone was voting to time travel to just vaporize Hitler completely, I wouldn't stand against

There is literally not oversimplification about an extremely well-documented person and world event. You are wrong and should feel bad.

there's literally no way that you could have followed up on any of those references, so in fact you are pre-judging. if that's what you're doing, you couldn't know if I'm wrong. remember, all I said was that maybe the person could have been guided away from violence, not ended.
