@realDonaldTrump Congress needs to release $20Bn+ in emergency funding for the #COVID2019 outbreak, ASAP. If you want this to be treated, there need to be fast-track review processes tied to government funding into startups. You will see multiples of return on investment.

That’s insane. I don’t know anyone asking for that much. How would you justify that expense?

we need to fund about 40 days of free rent + food + healthcare. and we need to do it for everyone on the planet. it is a real challenge to do it for $20 billion, but we might be able to.

Um no. That’s too far left for this Bernie-crat. The virus is not as pervasive as people’s fears. Experts are working on it. Give it a week or two before you even think this idea would be good. A lot of changes happened this week, for the better. Give it a little breathing room

What the living hell are you talking about? This virus is going to completely overrun our healthcare system. A couple of weeks? Do you even understand how drug development works and how unprepared our infrastructure is? What are experts going to do with a broken infrastructure?

Are 350 million people infected right now? They aren’t. You seem very outraged but not very factual. More people have health care than when Ebola happened. Trump is even willing to help out those without insurance as related to covid19.

Sir, you do not understand epidemiology or exponents. We are under-reporting cases because lack of testing. Cases double every ~7d. Do the math. I’d be happy to add you to a private group of experts, including myself, discussing this subject. You are the one who is ill-informed.

NYC has 1.1 million people over the age of 65. The
@NYCMayor approved 1500 beds for#Covid_19 patients. Here are the CDC’s mortality rates by age. If ~8% of people over 60 die from#SARS_COV_2 in NYC, that is as many as 100,000s of beds and 80,000+ deaths. We aren’t prepared.pic.twitter.com/K1n2NoY7zP

Comparing Ebola to
#Covid_19 is also ill-informed. Ebola is very lethal and very contagious, however it is clear when someone has Ebola.#SARS_COV_2 is transmissible during asymptomatic stages and death can take more than a month. You can feel normal for 2+ weeks while having it.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

You aren’t seemingly able to understand my logic. You’re taking my arguments and putting them in the worst light.
