I N F O S E C P E O P L E Can you help me investigate an anomaly? It seems there may be problems with communicating between groups on Twitter. I’ve had some strange interactions and it feels like people are not listening to each other.

Thank you, it looks like you are in the Zone of connection (or whatever it is in my hypothesis)

You don't get what people mean and they don't agree with you, so you hypothesize the 'system' prevents you from "communicating with groups". I'd ask what 'group' you think twitter won't let you communicate with but obviously your entire way of thinking is the root of the problem.

Have you not noticed that searching and replies are borked right now? It is really bad whenever there is a crisis

No, they work fine. Have you considered the idea that large data samples are hard to search and you made lots of data by ignoring people's word that logic doesn't work on racists and then YOU told them that YOU were giving them tools for arguing as if they couldn't think of them?

Yes, I considered that, but the conversation went seriously off the rails. I see that I didn’t, perhaps, make explicit enough that I didn’t think that logic would prevail over racists. I did however acknowledge that it must be infuriating and unfair...

The point is that this is a tool to focus the conversations on the crux of the matter. I don’t think that the concept of “cancel culture” is unfounded. It seems clear that there are enforced boundaries on acceptable speech in all areas here in 2020. It is severely constrained.
