I've just never understood why some countries "should" be fiscally more responsible for something that's everyone's issue.

Long incubation 42 days at max, average of 14. contagious as early as day 5. infectious while asymptomatic. Symptoms come on slow and seem to go in phases. Head ache, nausea vomiting, then runny nose, dry cough leading into pneumonia. Average time to death is 3 weeks

average might be lower. we don’t know what is up with the outlier long incubation periods. behavior appears very different from sars

It's this that worries me. Forget the death rate for a minute. People are sick for a long time, contagious for longer. How will a complex society cope with that? When no one can work either because they are sick or afraid of infection. For so...damned...long...

Very true. I took a spinal injury some time ago and am functionally disabled so I have had time to put it. What I know as of right now is this: It has multiple modes of transmission including airborne. Multiple reports of infection between individuals only connected via vents

Still infectious for a time after death. Recovery of mild case varies and they are unsure of how long you're contagious. Critical case recovery is slow. To put it bluntly this thing keeps you infectious for as long as possible to maximize the spread. Tricky virus.
