China’s medics system is overwhelmed right now. Never mind the fact that their air quality is many times worse than in the West so anyone that has lived there for a while has compromised respiratory function

This is a new virus; we need to do whatever we can to stop it so that it will eventually die out. Otherwise, mutations are a very very high risk, and it is already highly contagious -- what if it evolves new symptoms, as viruses can do? Agree that mass panic is an equal concern

I mean this is China — the worlds workshop and the center of all tech manufacturing— we are talking about. Don’t underestimate the impact this could have on economic growth and the stock market. If the lockdowns on Shenzhen etc last longer prices of consumer goods could soar

Wuhan is lockdown nobody enter nobody go out, Shenzhen is taking strong measures for the people that are coming back to work. If it’s a lockdown how people will go to work on Monday ?
