They're in Wuhan, this isn't any different than before.

It's only a matter of time before one dies here. Many are not symptomatic.

China’s medics system is overwhelmed right now. Never mind the fact that their air quality is many times worse than in the West so anyone that has lived there for a while has compromised respiratory function

If you have a good immune system , are under 60, don’t smoke, and don’t live in a smoggy place coronavirus isn’t *that* much worse than a normal flu

This is a new virus; we need to do whatever we can to stop it so that it will eventually die out. Otherwise, mutations are a very very high risk, and it is already highly contagious -- what if it evolves new symptoms, as viruses can do? Agree that mass panic is an equal concern

I mean this is China — the worlds workshop and the center of all tech manufacturing— we are talking about. Don’t underestimate the impact this could have on economic growth and the stock market. If the lockdowns on Shenzhen etc last longer prices of consumer goods could soar

Way too many people live pay check to pay check in the West and protests against inequality are already a big problem in

etc. Imagine if price of basic goods went up 10% — Way more people could die of that— never mind if this breaks China internally1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
! obviously these things are related. China builds *so much* that's 1-4 levels down in the supply chain. I haven't gotten close to disentangling the implications of what we are seeing here.
