that’s a very good question, worth futher study. i think this version of the future, if possible, does require scale breakthroughs in sustainable forestry and construction efficiency: current sawnwood and wood panel products are ~900 million tons / year, ~1/30th of CO2 emissions

practical limitations may keep this strategy at only 10% of our current emissions, but maybe it could be much more. I don’t have a good sense of it. If you consider the factor of productivity we’ve achieved in agriculture versus our first efforts, almost anything seems possible
