Got my booster for the booster to boost the booster for the vaccine. So boosted. My midi-chlorian count is off the charts.
(And cheers to Grammarly for knowing 'midi-chlorian' has a hyphen in it. Good stuff, nerds.)
There's also the general availability of Windows 11 version 22H2, now called the '2022 Update.'
Microsoft also announced the first feature drop for Windows 11 coming next month.
we may not see Surface Laptop 5 with AMD, but we may be getting a Forrest (green) and Sapphire (blue) Surface Pro 9, which will be something, if true.
Details:
Microsoft finally responded to my inquiry regarding low stock of Surface Duo 2 and whether we'd see it return to store shelves.
tl;dr Yes, and supply chain issues are the cause
Seeing a lot of this new HP ad on TV, at least on TLC (don't judge).
But ... there is no Envy x360 in this ad despite the wording
The US version says Dragonfly instead of x360, but still. Weird.
Snarkiness aside, dare I say, I actually really like iOS 16. Feels like the most substantial update in years for things I care about.
The lock screen and notifications are so much better, by which I mean fixed/caught up. It even feels smoother on my aging iPhone 12 Mini.
Apple counting all the bugs on iPhone 14/iOS 16
- Frequent "allow paste" iOS 16 bug
- AirDrop sharing failing for some
- Pro Max "Loud, Uncontrollable Camera Shaking When Using Social Media Apps"
- Activation issues w/ FaceTime/iMessage (now fixed in 16.0.1)
- Some eSIM issues

I’m producing 8-10 hrs of video each week. I’m looking for someone to help me post those videos to social channels.
Do these describe you?
-have managed a social media account with 50k+ followers
-have made many Tweets, Reels and Tiktoks
If so reach out! This is a paid gig.
There are 49 million Kangaroos in Australia & 3.5 million people in Uruguay which means if the Kangaroos were to invade Uruguay each person wll have to fight 14 kangaroos 🦘
EVGA terminates relationship with NVIDIA, ceases all video card manufacturing on grounds of disrespectful treatment, among other things. Employees told they will be 'taken care of,' but we don't see how all those jobs will persist ad infinitum: https://youtube.com/watch?v=cV9QES-FUAM…
transfering eSIM at the start of setup for iPhone is annoying. Now my number is out of commission for 3 hours as it transfers my data and sets it up again
On today's podcast (1:30 PM ET, YouTube), I'll talk about my recent trip to Israel and about the tour of Intel's lab and fab. Some interesting tidbits about the culture and process of making chips.
Interesting move on branding for Intel, which makes sense (and is much simpler).
I talked to Intel about the lower-end, and while there is nothing to announce now, they do have something coming, and I'll talk about that more (and more) in the coming weeks.
Say goodbye to Celeron and Pentium and hello to 'Intel Processor.' https://windowscentral.com/hardware/computers-desktops/intel-to-rebrand-celeron-and-pentium-cpus-in-2023…
Xbox Series S + xScreen is a great set up for students, small bedrooms, and portability. Nifty set up.

Follow up: Got the Samsung Chromebook Go in (🤮), still had to call to activate the SIM (fun), but it worked.
Then I dropped activated SIM into 2 Windows laptops: No service.
So, yeah, T-mobile IMEI locks SIMs for tablet plans. No BYOD, which means goodbye
Figma has competed with Adobe XD for years, but it will become part of Adobe following a $20 billion acquisition. Microsoft, Dropbox, and several other big-name companies rely on Figma for graphic design. https://windowscentral.com/software-apps/adobe-to-purchase-figma-for-dollar20-billion…
An aggressively barking dog on the fight from Tel Aviv to NYC caused the 12 hr flight to be delayed by 1h 15m, which then caused me to miss my connection by 15m, so now I'm stuck at JFK at 7 AM, and I'm thriiiiilled.
The introvert in me wants to crawl into a cocoon for a month.
I'll have more about this later, but some of the wireless connectivity improvements are coming to Intel 13th Gen.
Some exciting advances. #IntelTechTour
That's wild.
According to Statista, Samsung Electronics spent nearly 2.3 billion U.S. dollars on advertising in just the United States as of 2021.
Looks like the rest of the world gets compensated well too.
Learning a lot today about Intel's forthcoming 13th Gen Raptor Lake.
I will have more to share later, but the behind-the-scenes stuff about the dev cycle is really interesting. #IntelTechTour
Speaking of Intel and Israel, I'm using the HP Elite Dragonfly G3 5G. Such a great laptop.
I used my 2nd SIM for home data and added Annatel eSIM for when in Tel Aviv. Works like a charm.
I can add more data thru Airarlo, which I highly recommend. Ref code: DANIEL976
