One concern people had w "Instagram as a PWA" was the lack of features e.g. direct messages. This was always trivial as it was a choice, not a platform limitation. Interesting strategy. I’m really interested in seeing how much engagement they will generate with this idea. (Wrong logo, but then again it was never designed to be used for advertising to end users). But it seems clever in rewarding the users!

That's neat. Never seen that logo before for PWA.
I guess for small companies or indie that's the best choice as they don't have to create an app for each platform. PWAs are cross platform so that's a plus
