Cool work by on identifying shallow surfaces on sub-Neptunes (), in addition to the ammonia proxy we found in Yu et al. 2021, they found methanol (CH3OH) is promising in distinguishing whether an exoplanet has a shallow solid or liquid surface!

It's neat how all the exoplanets line up in little beams pointing at the Earth.

Are you into highly eccentric long-period sub-Neptunes orbiting nearby M dwarfs, with a chance for life in the clouds? That's right, who isn't! My, do we have a treat for you! 😍 Accepted and fresh on the ArXiv today:

There is an exoplanet called K2-155d that's about 200 lightyears from Earth. Which means that, by the time the light from the Sun reflecting off Earth *today* reaches this planet, everyone alive right now will be dead.

Scientists think they've found the first evidence of an exoplanet candidate outside of our galaxy! The Whirlpool Galaxy, M51, was imaged by and . Xray emissions indicate a planet about the size of Saturn!

The Whirlpool Galaxy is seen as a spiral with a small box to the right of center indicating where an exoplanet candidate was spotted in transit.
