I've been wanting to show a few of the ~100 variations of the @HousecraftApp branding. I probably have another few weeks before I hate it.pic.twitter.com/5Qtahd7vq3

My process is basically... just start. Then command+D every idea and iterate until I'm exhausted. Then go back to old ideas w/ fresh ideas.pic.twitter.com/e1D07lM9JL
The first iterations were basically this dunkin donuts ass font i was messing with, not to use but just for guidance. Gradient heavy. Wobblypic.twitter.com/9Y9pGu9oGw
A friend suggested I lean on the 3D nature of the app. Already had the floating+shadow, but it wasn't enough. So I went isometric+blocky.pic.twitter.com/HctVPBTuhl
I tried another name (Haystack) for a sec, but Housecraft just sticks. I also tried tons of colors, but the primaries kept coming back.pic.twitter.com/d3nULZzLkI
And last, but not least....after I basically realized the components were there, I iterated a ton on different variations of the theme.pic.twitter.com/reuhcYXfTj
And all that brings us back to the final icon, mostly with a ton of fine-tuning to make sure it looked more like a room than a cube.
