It's been months since I've shopped in a retail store, and I miss them. But I'm in no hurry to return — it doesn't feel worth the risk.

Of course not everyone is going to want to bother with the process of setting up an appointment, and it's not zero-risk. Will be interesting which brands launch appointment shopping. So far, Apple isn't. Department stores etc. have offered them for a long time. Meanwhile, I experienced my first virtual appointment yesterday at an A.P.C. store in LA — it was fun, and I actually bought something.
