As someone who's done this a lot in life... this can very often mean you're actually just solving problems nobody values. All products of any value have competition.https://twitter.com/david_perell/status/1253147096103809024 …

You're missing the point. Everything of value has some sort of competition. And anything of value is solving a problem other products also solve. Yes, do it in a different way or with a different perspective. But it's gotta be a problem people care about.

When netflix launched streaming, blockbuster had streaming. People wanted streaming. There was tons of competition. What part are you challenging and agreeing with? lol

if people really wanted streaming why did netflix start with mail rentals?

My worldview is that products are replacements or augmentations to things that already happen. They either replace another product or an existing activity. To "solve a problem nobody is solving" means solving a problem nobody cares about because they spend no money or time on it.

yea so it is a perspective thing i'm after. if you're trying to solve world hunger, your competition is not others also doing it, its world hunger. and you can't come out with a product that solves world hunger. also the approach of dissolving a problem is different from solving
