Simply put: You can't do much without capital. So we go to people with capital to help. They demand more control than they deserve just because they have capital, which turns into a bigger share of returns than that role is worth. So then they have more. Cycle repeats.

This line of thinking, long held but still not fully formed, is behind some of the messages I've sent entrepreneurs in our community in recent months. Less of an ethical issue in those situations, more of a "what are you doing to fix this systematic issue?" question.

the fact capital holders are much less effected by the downside seems qualitatively true curious if there's stats behind "the best way to build a small fortune is starting with a large fortune" how much downward mobility is there? how many people lose their capital vs gain?
