As we subcontract more people on client projects, I realized our actions point to a key guiding principle: We want to be your favorite studio to work with. We’re fun. We treat you as a partner. And we fight on your behalf to increase your pay (+ pay quickly).

We’re not perfect, but it’s our goal. Re: money... When talking about pay, I’ve started asking “what’s the most you’ve billed yourself out at?” So they know I’m not looking to undercut. We like to help people raise their rates, if we can. Just figuring it out together.

I care less that we get to publicly share the work for clients, and more that the individuals we work with walk away feeling good about it.
