7 years in, I wonder occasionally what could-have-been. I left my PM job at Twilio (employee ~23). Walked away from my interview at Stripe in summer 2012 (less than 40 employees). Left SF and a few other opportunities. My social capital would probably be higher if I’d stayed.

You have to forgo an actual career and other social value to continue rolling the dice on entrepreneurship. Most people don’t really give a shit about what you’re doing, for a really long time. But occasionally a few do. And that feels pretty amazing.

Housecraft being in an Apple commercial + selling it was a highlight. We’ve also had some amazing clients who are

So here’s to the next 7 years. 2020 fees like it’s going to be great. Year by year things feel more in our control. It never gets easier, but it does feel like we are getting better at it. We get further with the same amount of energy. Start small, and keep going.
