Positioning doesn't have to be complex. Forget the charts, graphs, comparisons, etc. The best positioning is simple.

Love this topic. What would you say is

I don't know that ours can be so easily summed up quite yet. There's also something to be said about products that are niche enough that they can take a really bold stance for something. With more complexity and more buyers, positioning has to be crafted for each one.

You have multiple products and may even serve multiple segments, but your earlier tweet set positioning at the company-level (which I agree with). So "Baremetrics" has 1 brand and 1 position in the market. It may be a wide position, but it is singular, especially as a startup.

As a startup you can't afford to occupy or even attempt to occupy multiple positions.

Totally! Honestly, I just don't think we've nailed it to be so crystal clear quite yet. Hence my thoughts on what makes great positioning and thinking about it. Work in progress :)

It took me 16 product launches as a VP marketing and test runs with a few dozen startups to test it, but I have nailed this process. Happy to walk y'all through it. Looking forward to it. Figuring out positioning is the most challenging thing we are dealing with, since product and growth needs become clearer.
