Sold it all years ago to pay off some debt I’d built up trying to self-fund my own products. Literally none of the cash left with little to show for it so far. Lots of “mistakes” like this along the way. It’s easy to doubt yourself constantly when trying to build things.

I hear from friends a lot who are faced with situations like this. My opinion: Better to be happy and know you gave it a real shot than to sit comfortably and vest.

Reminded constantly, and it’s totally ok.
For example, when I joined Twilio (employee ~25) my stock options cost 83¢. Now they’re public and shares are $115. Guess what? I have none of it anymore.
