I think this philosophy could be applied to multiple careers, beyond just creative industries, these days. There a very few qualifications worth £25k + worth of debt.
If you’re a young person wanting to be in film, music, media etc rather than spending £25k and 3 years doing a degree, spend the same money producing content and working for successful content creators. The next round of actors and musicians will be found on Tik Tok. Agree?

By working in the broadcast industry (pre-sales) I learnt so much by watching and asking questions, even though content creation isn't my work I know way more about video production that most coming out of uni. I believe now more in vocational training.

One can get a free degree in various countries around the world, or an

As long as you're producing you're own content/reel on the side. 100% Most of the "How to do..." is on YT and the rest is about connections right? I know the 1.5yrs I did at uni didn't do anything for my connections.
