What book do I find this "moderate Islam" in? Surely not in the Quran. There are moderate Muslims but what on earth is "moderate Islam" if not a fantasy?

Is there any 'moderate' Islam, sir? No authentic Islamic scholar, institution, leader agree to such differentiation. It is a non-Muslims' construct, which suits only the politicians playing with the issues to suit themselves.

We need Muslims to deconstruct Received Theology. Honestly & candidly address religion based oppression, dominance & violence. We badly lack religious actors who are critical thinkers, able to shift focus from top down theology to one that is bottom up.

There is no Islam ‘lite’ Daniel .. this is the problem. A literal interpretation of the Koran will always be valid. Any attempt to reform the ideology would lead to a conflict that would make the Thirty Years War look like a playground tiff.
