Got crawled all over and repeatedly bitten on the nose for a couple hours by a bunch of puppies today.

They're great. We go to see them again later in the week around Friday and then get to bring one home that's picked for us by the breeder on Sunday.

They're essentially surplus guide dogs. They breed more than needed to fulfill the demand for service animals.
The breeder lives in her house with literally 30 dogs and an employee helping look after them.
She's very selective about who gets to take home one of her babies.

Got to see all 7 puppies, not just the 5 unassigned one mentioned in the ad. The 7 families taking them are chosen now but she has to choose who gets which puppy after another round of seeing them.
We got to meet their dad and grandmother on mom's side. Very nice, social dogs.

She owns both parents and dad gets to be involved in raising the puppies. Normally breeders only own the mom and dad isn't involved. Probably makes it easier on their mom.
House is divided in 2 halves for the male/female adults and they howl at each other since some are in heat.

Going to be a very expensive puppy which is fine. Money helps fund their operation. They give away some of the guide dogs free of cost.
Going to be easier than typical 9-10 week old puppy since they've grown up in a home, have initial training and a vaccine plan underway, etc.
