by chance do you have a moment to help a noob on first install? I keep getting to "writing system" then it errors "array buffer allocation failed"

You seem to be running out of memory. Make sure your browser is fully updated, disable extensions and disable antivirus software that might be injecting code into the browser and interfering. Ask for more help in our main Matrix chat room or discuss.grapheneos.org if needed.

I'm on the matrix now, and they are suggesting it's not possible to use the webinstall with win7

We don't officially support Windows 7 for either CLI install or web install but it will likely work. You can install using the web installer from another Android device if you have one which is a better option than using Windows 7 if you have that available.
Closing all apps and such didn't work on the LT, so trying with my Pixel2 now. 🤞

If it's 32-bit, maybe the 2GB memory limit isn't enough anymore.
