Cloudflare drops sites from their service on a daily basis for having content they dislike. They remove sites with adult content, support for sex workers, etc. They also drop sites they deem to be posting spam. Cloudflare's censored 1.1.1.3 DNS blocks lots of LGBT content, etc.

The filter they used intentionally marked all kinds of LGBT content as being adult content. It wasn't a mistake by the people maintaining the filter. It was intentional. They still use filters from groups who see things that way, they just don't use the *direct* LGBT blocklists.

They're still choosing to source the filters from people who categorized it that way, and therefore it's fairly clear why they still end up filtering out content they supposedly aren't trying to filter out.
