Folks should understand that low-latency and RT kernels are not faster than generic kernels. There is an overhead to keeping latencies low.

PREEMPT_DYNAMIC is a nice improvement. It was too much trouble to rebuild distribution kernels. I get a nice build time reduction on my secondary workstation from passing preempt=none on the kernel line. Makes a bigger difference than mitigations=off on that particular machine.
Finer grained scheduling and timers also increase power usage even more than they reduce throughput. It's very difficult to balance everything on mobile devices and make everyone happy. Throw security hardening features into that mix and it's a pretty much impossible situation.
