GCP credit issue has been partially resolved.
They've applied a one-time 18000 USD credit expiring July 2023 which is 1500 USD / month, so it's not quite right since it was meant to be 2000 USD / month but we can just work with this. Not sure if I want to bother bringing it up.

They have serious issues with bureaucracy for these credits. They're unable to apply recurring credits in practice even though GCP appears to support it.
Seems that something went wrong along the way again and they applied it as 1500 USD / month instead of 2000 USD / month.

They still need to refund the CA$1500 charge to my credit card, and say they'll get back to me about that this week. I expect that to happen quickly because GCP's billing department has received approval to do it. I expect that they'll probably get that done in 24-48 hours.

Since they can't seem to apply a recurring credit, we would need to deal with this as a yearly process and there appears to be a lot that can go wrong.
We can try to get it renewed around May 2023 and we can migrate to a Hetzner dedicated server if needed before it runs out.
