the first step to breaking up with linode will be to quit using their DNS. are there any good DNS providers out there with terraform support?

I tried them all until finally paying AWS for Route53 and never having to worry about it again

I looked into a bunch of them and rage4.com is one of the nicest if you're price conscious and don't need massive amount of records. Despite being a small provider they have better anycast than Route53 (dnsperf.com) and flat fees even if you use GeoDNS.
The problem with Cloudflare's DNS service is that while the basics are all free, the rest of it falls under their fairly expensive metered load balancing service. Metered load balancing is their cash cow and is why their optional reverse proxy isn't metered. Gets you using this.
