It seemed odd to me that the kernel hasn't been updated but the SPL has - makes sense that the patches aren't new. I was waiting for a dump of the firmware to finish before confirming.

They build from exactly the same code they publish to AOSP so checking there is quite reliable unless they made a mistake and pushed the wrong code. We've seen them make mistakes with the kernel tags before which we've had to report to get fixed but never for the main AOSP tags.

New tags are android.googlesource.com/platform/build and android.googlesource.com/platform/build. Can see the security patch level is 2021-10-05: android.googlesource.com/platform/build They could have applied the half of the security patches from AOSP without being able to increase the patch level but haven't done that.

Can see from android.googlesource.com/platform/frame that it's not only still at the 2021-10-05 patch level but they haven't applied the subset of the patches available via AOSP. Could apply those up to June 2022 but patch level would only reach 2021-11-01 due to firmware, drivers, HALs, etc.
