One of the pictures from my 14.5 year old dog's last day (Tuesday). He had a good last day. He lost 10% of his body weight in the last 18 days from refusing to eat anything other than a tiny bit of expensive fresh organic meat. Was barely able to stand up with help and walk.

Yeah, all the regulars in the park (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Withrow_P) knew him and even at 12.5 years old he was still running around / retrieving. Everyone thought he was way younger than he was until the past couple years. He even got along well with otherwise very aggressive dogs.

Some of his long time friends were pit bulls rescues with issues unable to be walked in that park even on a leash. He got along really well with almost any dogs not being either submissive or dominant. Previous dog was an *extremely* dominant golden. Had to be more careful.

Toronto bylaws of course require walking dogs on leash outside off leash areas. However, Withrow Park culture is that well behaved dogs are mostly off leash. Means there's a ton of dogs there. Insane how many dogs there post-COVID now. So many people got puppies during lockdown.
