Is there any automation tooling that deals with alt text? I never managed to find anything that could both automatically generate posts and drop something in the alt text.

There's an EXIF image description field and support for it is increasing. For example, Apple and Google apps have started allowing users to set it. Platforms should implement support for it to automatically convert it into alt text if it's missing and screen readers can use it.

Maybe Twitter can be convinced to support converting that into default alt text, but they aren't exactly responsive to feedback.
