I got tired of waiting 2-4 days for Play Store review approval for Beta and then another 2-4 days for Production and figured out a workaround.
You can release to Beta and Production at the same time with a 0.0000001% staged rollout for Production and both get approved together.

Don't forget to increase it to 100% before the next release because it completely cancels the staged rollout when you make another release in that channel. There's no way to undo cancelling it and you would need to go through 2-4 days of waiting for the review approval again.
