Whats the go to method for installing apps? Aurora? F-Droid? Wouldn't mind getting thoughts on this or even his preferred way of installing apps.

If the developer provides a self-updating mechanism for their app, it makes a lot of sense to get it directly from them.
F-Droid has serious issues with the security of their infrastructure and the app. Updates are often very delayed and they make undocumented changes to apps.

I tend to do this if it's possible. I use Aurora store as i don't want to create a Google account. A throwaway maybe the way with a random phone number I guess.

Aurora Store still uses an account.
You don't need a phone number to create an account in most cases, only when using an IP address they consider high risk, etc.

Yes but the account isn't tied to me at all within Aurora.
Is this your preferred way of installing apps? Using Graphene's playstore app with a throwaway account?

There isn't a GrapheneOS Play Store app. We have mirrors of the official apps to provide a way to obtain them to use sandboxed Google Play.

I guess i just want to be as private and safe as possible, and we all know what Google are like for collecting data.
