it's interesting to see people who are not making money off their popularity to be accused of doing something for "clout" because when i write something i know may get around, a little alarm goes off in my head "Are you ready for this? [ No ] [ Fuck no ] [ No but do it anyway ]"

the only way i know to survive twitter without hiring a PR representative is to use a fine-grained and fluid statistical approximation of ~100k-1m people to tailor the domain and expression of what i write in a way that guides who self-selects for interactions it's exhausting

right; i'm using this in a figurative way here, to mean "be personally detached from the interactions in general", which i want to avoid

It's something we've seriously talked about it ourselves so I took it literally. I think what's actually needed are core developers/maintainers who are good at technical writing and doing interviews with journalists. Another way of saying what's needed is funding to hire people.
